Laura started teaching at Total Diving in 2010.

The beginning

Laura started scuba diving in 1971, driven by a passion created by the Jacques Cousteau films of her childhood.

Best part about being an instructor

Laura started teaching in May 2010, to share her passion for the underwater world with the world. As a fan of underwater photography, she loves capturing the amazement of her student within colorful and vibrant environments. Fine-tuning and perfecting buoyancy is a skill she cares deeply about, due to its necessity in underwater photography.

Personal interests

Laura has particular interest for underwater photography and wreck diving. Combining the two is a way for her to share the wonders of the ocean with the rest of the world, as well as keeping material memories of every dive site she’s ever visited.

Favorite dive locations

Among some of Laura’s favorite dive places are the Bell Island, known for its famous World War 2 wrecks. The shore diving paradise of Bonaire. And the endless dive sites of the Grand Cayman. Her favorite dive memories belong to the wrecks of Bell Island, diving through the history of the war is incomparable to anything else in the world.

Advice for beginners

Just try it and fall in love. It’s as simple as that. One breathe underwater, one glimpse of the wonders the ocean holds, and you will be hooked for life.
