There are 17 PADI courses offered by Total Diving that can give you credits toward a certificate, diploma or degree offered by the Open Learning Agency's Open College and British Columbia Open University.
It is possible to use these credits at other post-secondary institutions across Canada. To apply these credits toward your program at another institution, you will need to contact the registrar office of that institution to convince them to give you an equivalence or accept this course at par.
These 17 PADI courses were reviewed by the Canadian Learning Bank's Credit Review Service, a service of the Open Learning Agency, which is a fully accredited educational institution founded by the Government of British Columbia.
To receive credit for one of these PADI courses, first, you'll need a course registration package for BCIT. Then, you'll submit a course registration form to the Canadian Learning Bank's Credit Review Service and send, also, a course verification form to PADI Canada.
PADI verifies course completion and notifies the Canadian Learning Bank which then, sends you an unofficial transcript confirming the credit awarded.
To find out which one of the PADI courses can earn you credits, check the PADI site and do not worry too much about the "effective to" date - their website is usually one year behind in being updated!
