A large team of PADI Course Directors

We are committed to providing you with all the tools required to launch and maintain a successful career in scuba diving or, simply, to learn scuba diving in the most professional environment possible. That's why we've assembled, for you, a team of PADI Course Directors second to none in the World.

The Course Director level is the pinnacle of the PADI System of diver education, representing less than one percent of all PADI Members. The Course Director rating is the equivalent of having a postgraduate degree in scuba diving instruction. Course Directors are the only people who may conduct the Instructor Development Course needed to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

• Darcy Kieran is our Chief Course Director.  He created Total Diving and he continues to lead its development. He is an Instructor Trainer for PADI, EFR, DAN, DSAT TecRec, DRI, Beautiful Ocean, CMAS and AMCQ, as well as an instructor for PSI, TDI and SDI.
• Michel Lavoie is our most recently graduated PADI Course Director. However, he is really a very energetic old timer with many years of experience with ACUC before joining Total Diving and PADI.
• Jim Brandt is our expert in job placement and career development for the resort industry.  He is currently based in Guam where Darcy and him are Course Directors for the Micronesian Divers Association.
• Dr. JD Mosley is our expert in eLearning and the role of the internet in the scuba diving industry. She is currently in Cayman Brac developing Total Diving Cayman.
• David Snethkamp is our dedicated DSAT TecRec Instructor Trainer for TecDeep and TecTrimix. He is currently based in Ohio but joins us in Brockville whenever we need him to give a hand to our team of technical diving instructors.

In addition to these award-winning Course Directors, the Total Diving training team is composed of more than 30 instructors and 12 divemasters, all professionally trained by the Total Diving GoPro Team. They are dedicated to your safety & fun.
