2007

  • Total Diving inaugurates its brand new Travel & Training Center located inside the Montreal dive store. May 2007
  • For a fourth year in a row, Total Diving participates in one of the most famous St. Patrick's parade in the World: The Montreal St. Patrick's parade! March 2007.
  • The École de plongée sous-marine Poséidon joins the Total Diving family. Scuba diving courses offered at the CEPSUM of the University of Montreal are now Total Diving / PADI courses. January 2007.

2006

  • Darcy Kieran becomes the first DAN Examiner in Quebec which allows him to train DAN Instructor Trainers. November 2006.
  • Darcy Kieran is an invited guest speaker on the topic of best business practices at the PADI International Resort and Retailer Association annual meeting in Orlando, Florida. November 2006.
  • Darcy Kieran is invited on the advisory board of Beautiful Oceans. October 2006.
  • Total Diving Montreal obtains official recognition from the Canadian Government as an educational institution offering courses that enable students to acquire or improve skills needed for an occupation. This means that you can get an income tax receipt for your courses. September 2006.
  • Michel Lavoie becomes the 4th PADI Course Director successfully trained by Total Diving who continues to maintain 100% success ratio in instructor trainer development. July 2006.
  • Total Diving becomes the first dive center in Canada to offer Beautiful Oceans' coral reef biology courses. June 2006.
  • Total Diving's win the Stephen M. Dowd Memorial trophee for the best float in Montreal's famous St. Patrick's parade, taking it away from the CN team who won it in 2005. March 2006.

2005

  • Darcy Kieran receives an award from Drew Richardson, president of PADI Worldwide, "in recognition of your outstanding contributions to the dive industry". October 2005.
  • Total Diving becomes the first Performance Free Diving training center in Quebec. October 2005.
  • Total Diving Montreal becomes the first DAN Training Center in Canada. October 2005.
  • Total Diving dives Into The Blue with Jessica Alba and Paul Walker. September 2005.
  • Total Diving Montreal obtains official recognition from the Quebec Government as an educational institution offering courses that enable students to acquire or improve skills needed for an occupation. This means that you can get an income tax receipt for your courses. September 2005.

  • François Demers becomes the 3rd PADI Course Director successfully trained by Total Diving who continues to maintain 100% success ratio in instructor and instructor trainer development. July 2005.
  • Total Diving converts Total Diving St-Zotique into its first franchise, owned and operated by France Chassé. April 2005.
  • Total Diving Montreal becomes the first PADI Career Development Center (CDC) in Montreal. March 2005.
  • For a second year in a row, Total Diving participates in one of the most famous St. Patrick's parade in the World: The Montreal St. Patrick's parade! March 2005.

2004

  • Darcy Kieran becomes the first DAN DES Instructor Trainer in Canada. November 2004.
  • Total Diving promotes diving safety at the Premiere of the movie Open Water. August 2004.
  • CHOM-FM & Total Diving teamed up to produce the biggest Underwater Treasure Hunt & Beach Party Extravaganza ever organized in Quebec! August 2004.
  • Total Diving Montreal becomes the first National Geographic dive center in Canada. July 2004.
  • Total Diving enters Montreal's St. Patrick's Parade with a portable tub with windows all around. March 2004.
  • Total Diving St-Zotique acquires a faster compressor for better service at that fill station located on the shore of the St. Lawrence River (Lake St. François). March 2004.
  • Total Diving Montreal becomes the first dive center in Eastern Canada to offer the DSAT Technical Diving program for decompression & trimix diving. February 2004.
  • Total Diving Montreal becomes the first dive center in Quebec with 3 Course Directors on staff: Darcy Kieran, JD Mosley & David Snethkamp. January 2004.

2003

  • Total Diving Montreal gets its newly renovated on-site in-door salt water pool. December 2003.
  • The City of Verdun is thankful for Total Diving's help in making Verdun a better place to live honours our team with a "Tip of the Hat" award for our volunteer work during the International Coastal Clean-Up Day.
  • Total Diving announces its own dive boat chartering services in the Thousand Islands with Total Diving Brockville. October 2003.
  • Total Diving acquires Les explorateurs sous-marins in St-Zotique from Gilles Messier to create Total Diving St-Zotique, a dive center on the waterfront at less than a 40 minute drive from downtown Montreal. May 2003.

2000-2002

  • Total Diving's Darcy Kieran becomes the first PSI instructor in Québec. April 2002.
  • Total Diving Montreal becomes the only PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center in Montreal. August 2000.
  • Total Diving (Darcy Kieran) acquires Waddell Aquatics (from Bill & Sue Waddell), the only PADI 5 Star Dive Center in Montreal, to create Total Diving Montreal. July 2000.
  • Total Diving launches its website. June 2000.

1975

  • Bill & Sue Waddell starts Waddell Aquatics (now Total Diving Montréal). April 1975.
